Child proofed and dog friendly lake house located on Pistakee Lake with an amazing sunset view year round. In the summer we have space for 1 boat, a fire pit BYOW (wood), outdoor table/ chairs, 2 kayaks, and a sun room and a bar overlooking the lake. Inside: WiFi, 75" smart TV (where you can log into your streaming apps) with cable, PS4 and Nintendo NES. Easy access to Blarney Island for music and fun, and walking distance to the local towny bars and restaurants.

This is a great place for a large family or multiple families. The house is child proofed and we love and allow dogs! With multiple hangout areas (sunroom, bar, deck off the kitchen, hardscape by the water and the dock) you can have separation or everyone can gather in the large living room with plenty of seating. In addition to the 4 bedrooms (queen beds in all and two rooms also have cribs for your babies/toddlers), there are two comfy futons you can make up as beds in the sun room where so many guests love to sleep.

Feel free to use our 2 kayaks that can be found on the hardscape next to the water. Also on the hardscape you will find an outdoor table with chairs and the fire pit. There is an additional 6’ table and extra chairs in the bar you can bring outside to seat more.

We have a poker table stocked with chips and cards and board games for you to enjoy. We also have games, PS4 (plays DVD’s too), and Nintendo NES.

Walking distance to convenience and liquor stores and quite a few restaurants and bars.

Staying here is like staying at your brother or sisters house when they aren't home. Towels, wash cloths, shampoo & conditioner and body wash is there for your use in all three showers. Dishes, pots and pans, utensils, large and small appliances, gas grill with propane included, coffee maker, sugar, creamer and filters are all included. We don't plan to completely empty our fridge/freezer when we leave since this is our permanent home, so please be respectful and bring your own food (we do consolidate to make sure there is plenty of room for your stuff).

The door across from the upstairs bathroom will be locked as that is where we keep our personal things and a bunch of storage; all four bedrooms we rent out are in the lower level.

We are always available via AirBnb or by phone. We usually stay nearby so reach out if you need anything!

It is quiet and safe with neighbors VERY close by. Walking distance to convenience and liquor stores and quite a few restaurants/bars.

Metra (Fox Lake) is a 7 minute walk away and will take you directly to Union Station in downtown Chicago (1 hour 20 minutes).

Walk to multiple restaurants, convenience stores, and bars.

5 minute drive to Grant Woods Forest Preserve for great walking/ hiking/ biking trails.

Uber available in the area.

No fireworks allowed.

Make sure you and your pets stay on our property, especially lakeside.

If you are bringing a boat, you should have a fox waterway pass. The Fox Waterway Agency is about one minute from our house.

Cops present on chain o' lakes, follow no wake bouy’s and make sure your boat isn’t acting wild (just looking out).

Rates & Availability

Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 60 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. Fifty percent (50.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 30 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
